the flat iron review
I’ve been wanting a flat iron for the longest time. The problem is… I didn’t know where to start looking. There are a ton of options out there, which can get a little overwhelming. And as someone who’s never used one before, I definitely needed to see some reviews before choosing one.
That’s just one reason that I love Folica.com. Not only are they a one-stop shop for hair tools and products, but they offer a ton of user reviews for each item. You really have a good idea about exactly what you can expect after you read through just some of the hundreds (or even thousands!) of reviews for each item. It doesn’t hurt that they regularly offer pretty heavy discounts (keep track of the latest promo codes through Savings.com) and free shipping on all orders over $50.
So here was my hair dilemma: I have flyaways. Every day, no matter what I do… by the time the afternoon (or let’s be real, mid-morning) rolls around, my hair starts to look a bit frizzy.
But my hair is also straight and fine, so I’ve been looking for a solution that wouldn’t include loading it down with a ton of product or damaging the hair. Oh – and ideally, I want to be able to put as little time into fixing my hair as possible. I’m ready for a little something beyond wash and wear, but can’t commit to much more than that on a daily basis.
So I was very excited when Folica.com and Savings.com asked me to review the latest flat iron from Sedu, a top-rated brand.

This flat iron promises a quick heat-up time (less than 30 seconds) and it definitely delivers. It’s incredibly quick, which means I’m not tempted to leave it unattended while it warms up, which is especially important with two young kids around.
On the odd occasion that I might actually forget to unplug the flat iron (and it hasn’t happened yet, but just in case!), there’s an automatic shut-off.
I also love that there’s a wide range of temperature levels, ranging from 180 (better for my fine, straight hair) to 450, so even my husband could use the Sedu Icon flat iron on his coarse, curly hair, if he really wanted to. I’m just trying to think of an instance where my husband would be using a flat iron… but it’s an option, if he needs it! Ha!
I like the versatility of the flat iron, too. I can use it to tame those flyaways and make sure my hair is its sleekest – or I can give myself a little extra body and wrap my hair around for some bounce!
If you’re looking to purchase a flat iron yourself, now might be the time! This weekend (5/18-5/20) only – Get 50% Off a Sedu 1″ Flat Iron at Folica.com. Enter SECRETSEDU at checkout.
