My kids have this exact set and both kids can spend hours at a time building and playing with them. They’re large enough that they can construct a good-sized fort (or castle or restaurant, or whatever they happen to be pretending that day). Most importantly, though, they’re durable, which is key for the preschooler and under set.

This is such a great value from Melissa and Doug – and would make a wonderful gift. In fact, the set is big enough that you could probably easily separate the set into two gifts. My kids currently only play with half the set – the other half stays flattened and ready for replacements. But the blocks they’re using are so durable that they haven’t needed replacing yet. We may be donating that other untouched set this year.
