Kohls Cares for Kids – Winter 2012

Kohl’s has announced their newest selection of books and stuffed animals for Kohls Cares for Kids. This season they’re featuring some classics by Dr. Seuss: Horton Hears a Who, Happy Birthday to You, The ABC Book and more.

Kohls Cares for Kids

I love shopping from the Kohls Cares collection, because we get high-quality hardcover picture books and stuffed animals for a small fraction of the regular price – just $5 each. And better yet… we know our money is going to a good cause.

I’m especially excited to see that Dr. Seuss’s ABC is offered this time around, since that’s one of our very favorites to read with the kids. Our board book version has been well-loved over the years, so it may be time to replace our copy with the full “big-kid” version. And I know my kids will love that red rhino “Rosy’s red rhinoceros… R, R, R” to go with it.

They’re also offering notecard sets as part of the Kohls Cares collection that are perfect for thank-you cards or other fun notes throughout the year. The set includes 15 cards with 5 different designs. I’m actually thinking of picking up a set and framing one of each in a collage frame for the kids’ rooms. They’re 4.5 x 6, so it should be easy to find a frame to fit and, since it looks like there’s no writing on the front, it’ll be a nice little piece of art for their walls.
