Heads and Tails Beauty Boutique {review}

by Alissa on September 21, 2012

Heads and Tails Beauty Boutique is Philadelphia’s first (and only) blow-dry and waxing salon. Partners and friends Dana Morrison and Jenne Doyle opened Heads and Tails after seeing the need for an affordable way to maintain your hairstyle, between salon cuts. The location only offers blow-dry and styling services, along with waxing. There are no cuts or coloring here, so you can stay loyal to your regular stylist while maintaining a salon-worthy do in between cuts.

Located right on Rittenhouse Square, they have a great central location. The interior is absolutely lovely.

Heads and Tails review

I’m the first to admit… I’m always happiest with my hair on the days I come home from my friend/stylist. She’s awesome at what she does and always makes my hair look totally amazing. And then… I’m on my own. And boy, do I have trouble. For the life of me, I can not recreate the “full of body” style that I always get on my way out of the salon.

It doesn’t get much flatter (or less flattering) than my before photo. But the after makes up for it.

And better yet? My hair the next day (and even the next) was a-maz-ing.

This one stop at Heads & Tails saved me two mornings of styling and kept me going strong for a good part of my week.

Here’s my day after photo. I loved it.

Disclosure: I received complimentary services from Heads & Tails Beauty Boutique to facilitate my review. The photos don’t exaggerate, though. Those ladies are talented!
