Yesterday I stopped by Walmart to pick up a few groceries and, since the kids weren’t with me, I thought I’d take a quick moment to scout out some ideas for stocking stuffers. (Check out the full shopping trip here).
Since I had to grab some toothpaste for us, I was already in the oral care section and walked past these new Colgate Holiday Packs on a nearby end cap. Each pack includes a spinning toothbrush and a tube of toothpaste. The best part, of course, is that they also feature two of the kids’ favorite characters: Dora and Spongebob.
Santa doesn’t tend to leave a ton of sweets and treats for our kids in their stockings, but it looks like this year he did tip me off to a fun alternative! Not only can you choose between Dora and Spongebob (or one of each, in our case), but you can also choose the color of the toothbrush, too. The Dora packs came in pink, purple or green. For Spongebob, I saw yellow and orange as options.
Stocking stuffers, for us, tend to be lower cost and more practical than the rest of the gifts under the tree. Some years that’s meant coloring books, crayons, markers and Play-doh (always a huge hit here!).
I can guarantee that Dora and Spongebob peeking out of their stockings will no doubt bring lots of #HolidaySmiles this year!
The kids haven’t tried any type of battery-powered toothbrush yet, so I think this is going to be a double bonus for them. We’re in the in-between stage of getting them to brush their teeth independently (with a short follow-up from mom or dad to make sure they brushed as effectively as possible). I’m curious to see if the new toothbrushes will encourage them to spend more time brushing themselves, which would be a great benefit!
Only one problem with the fun new Colgate Holiday Packs… It looks like someone is a little bummed that there’s no toothbrush in his stocking!
