My family lives far away, so I’m always looking for special ways to connect with them. Food baskets are an especially nice way to show that we’re thinking of them. It was fun to be able to review a company that was new to me.

GourmetGiftBaskets.com offers a wide variety of gift baskets. Their selection is amazing and you can search by holidays, special occasions, price, themes and more. They even have an option for same-day gift baskets! (I’ll admit this caught my eye, since every once in a while, I’m surprised at how quickly holidays and other special occasions creep up on me. That ever happen to anyone else? )

I was able to review the Classic Easter Bunny gift basket (pictured above).

Here’s what was included: Fiona Bunny (8″ classic bunny); Solid milk chocolate bunny (6 oz. of chocolate goodness); Gourmet jelly beans; Peeps; Watermelon & cherry Nerds; Easter DOTS; Peanut M&Ms; Strawberry Twizzlers and 2 bright colorful plastic Easter eggs.

I have to say I was impressed from the moment the box arrived. The delivery was quick, with only a couple days turnaround time. You could also see the care with which it was packed. The basket arrived well-packaged and in great condition.

As soon as I took the basket out of the box and got a closer look, I knew we were in for a special treat. There was definitely something in there for each of us. And the basket will definitely be making a reappearance on future Easter mornings, I’m sure.

My favorite? Hands-down the solid milk chocolate bunny. Dipped in peanut butter. Don’t judge.
