Great news, teachers! This deal is back!
Philadelphia Zoo is offering an incredible summer bonus for teachers: a Summer Break Teacher Pass to all certified/licensed preK-12 classroom teachers, principals and assistant principals who work in public, private and charter schools.
About the Philadelphia Zoo Teacher Pass
The pass is good for your individual FREE admission, Mondays through Fridays, between June 17 and Aug. 30, 2013. You can use the pass to visit the Philadelphia Zoo multiple times during this period. You must bring BOTH a valid pass and your teacher ID, union card or school district pay stub each time you visit.
In the past, registration has ended in June, so be sure to register early so you don’t miss your chance!
If it’s been a while since you’ve visited the zoo, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the latest changes. The new parking structure makes getting in and out of the area so much easier.
The new educational center (KidZooU) in the children’s zoo is pretty amazing too! Check out all the new exhibits, which teach important lessons on conservation, recycling and more. The kids had a blast recycling all types of containers. They especially loved placing the empty cereal boxes and other recyclables on the conveyor belt and cranking it to where it needed to be.
The new KidZooU also offers so many opportunities to be up close and personal with animals like ants, chickens, butterflies, pigeons, goat and sheep, among many others. Kids will have a chance to groom some of these animals and learn lots more about their habits and habitats.
We’ll see you at the Philadelphia Zoo this summer!
