Fashion Trends: Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Hat

Ever since we saw The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, I haven’t been able to get the chunky knit hats that Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig wore out of my head. Really all the knits in the movie were drool-worthy.

After a ton of searching, I came up with very little info on the actual hats, where to buy or how much they cost.

So I thought I’d hunt for a lookalike of my own and share what I found:

I think this version of the slouchy hat is my favorite.

A lighter weight version in black – I think this style might come closest to the photo of Rooney Mara (above).

I love this slightly more colorful version (though I’m not sure Lisbeth Salander would approve of all that color).

Love the buttons on this chunkier hat.

This offers more of a unisex look.

What do you think? Can you get behind this trend? What other movie fashion trends have you been inspired by?

Oh my gosh! You read my mind! When we saw the movie, I thought I love her hat and I wonder if I can pull it off! Great choices, I love that second one!

Since it is like 2 degrees outside, I’m giving hats my YES vote!!! LOVING how easy they are to pull off!

These are cute. I like the 2nd one too. What did you think of the movie ? I haven’t seen it yet but enjoyed the book.

Amber — I’ll be honest. It’s incredibly raw and intense, but very well-done. I wasn’t sure how it would stack up to the original film version (or the book), but I was impressed. I’m in the middle of reading the second book right now.
