Earlier this year I started and shared a series of posts on getting organized. I showed you step-by-step how I was getting my family organized.
There’s one area, though, that I’ve been decidedly quiet about. And that’s because I still struggle with it myself – and I don’t have much to share on that topic yet.
It’s paper.
We are plagued with piles of paper.
Some of the paper comes in the form of sentimental savings – the kids’ artwork or old birthday cards, for instance.
Other paper piles consist of “important stuff” that needs to be filed. If only I had the time (or the perfect place) to file it.
Now I do. Rather, now I can do it digitally.
AboutOne promises to be a powerful anecdote to my paper problem. And I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and try it out myself!
In short, it’s a one stop, digital family organizer and file cabinet that will hold all of our important family information – the stuff I’m always spending hours searching to find: family birthdays, family medical records and information. Or worse yet, not being able to find when I need it!
And AboutOne offers bank-level security, so I know our info is stored safely. Now I just have to shred all these paper copies. ![]()
But first, I’ll work on saving some of these memories for good. And I can finally make (and send) a family newsletter so I can better keep our extended family in the loop.
I also love the option to e-mail photos to my AboutOne account directly from my phone. These days I’m taking more photos from my phone than ever before.
Don’t get me started on the capability to save copies of paper receipts, so that I don’t have to keep those around, too. That feature is coming soon. And I. Can’t. Wait. Seriously.
Take a look at all the ways AboutOne can help get you and your family organized, once and for all.

I love that they have an option coming for receipts. I always find them everywhere. I also love the ability to email your phone photos. I’m always scared about losing them!
Sounds like an awesome service – I would love to get rid of my mountain of paperwork!
I so would organize digitally. I always feel like I am drowning in papers.
I need this — I have so much paper everywhere.
Oh I need this!! I am so unorganized with everything. I try so hard, but it never happens!
This is a great idea, it sounds like it would really help with organization.
